In short: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. You can browse, read the documentation and download evaluation builds without telling us anything. We only receive personal details when you choose to send them - by subscribing to product updates, sending a support or feature request, or buying a licence - and we use them only for that.

2. What we receive, and why
Product updates
If you subscribe in the footer, we keep your email address, the page you subscribed from and the time, to send occasional product news. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any of our emails or through the request form.
Support requests
The support form asks for your name, email address and, optionally, your organisation, licence key or order number, and the product details and description your request needs. We use them to answer your request, check your licence and keep a record of support given, because answering you is part of our contract with you or in our legitimate interest in supporting our products.
Feature requests
The feature request form asks for your name, email address and the request itself. We use them to consider the request and reply to you, in our legitimate interest in improving our products.
Keeping the forms free of abuse
To stop misuse, the forms keep a one-way scrambled form of the sender's email address for an hour to limit how often requests can be sent, and a list of addresses and domains that have misused them. The forms have no captcha and send nothing to third parties for checking.
Website and download logs
Like every web server, ours record standard technical information about each request - the IP address, the page or file asked for, the time and the browser's description of itself - for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
3. Purchases
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for every purchase. It collects your payment and billing details on its own checkout, under its own privacy policy; your card details never reach us. It passes us what we need to supply and support your licence - such as your name, email address, country, the product bought and the order number - which we keep as our business and tax records require.
4. Who else handles it
We do not sell, rent or share your information for marketing. It is handled only by the services that make the website work: our web hosting and email providers, which store the website, its form records and our email; and Lemon Squeezy for purchases. Some of these may process information outside the United Kingdom, under the safeguards the law requires.
Pages on this website load their icons from unpkg.com, a public content-delivery network, so your browser's request for that file reaches it, as with any website you visit. It receives no information from us.
5. How long we keep it
- Product updates: until you unsubscribe.
- Support requests: while your licence is supported, and for up to six years after our last contact.
- Feature requests: while the request is under consideration, and no longer than three years.
- Purchase records: for six years after the end of the financial year of the purchase, as UK tax law requires.
- Server logs: for the period our hosting provider keeps them.
6. Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. The one thing it stores is your choice of light or dark theme, kept in your own browser's local storage under the name "bm-theme" so that the next page opens the way you left it. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser at any time. Because it is strictly necessary for a feature you use, it needs no consent banner.
Lemon Squeezy's checkout, which opens when you choose to buy, is its own website and sets the cookies it needs under its own policy.
7. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, or give it to you in a portable form. Ask through our request form; we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would be glad of the chance to put it right first.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when what the website does changes; the date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
