CAD

The CAD viewer opens DXF drawings of any version in the page and draws them as the CAD program would: lines, arcs, polylines with their bulges, splines and ellipses, hatches solid and patterned, text and multiline text, dimensions, blocks inserted once or as arrays, linetypes and lineweights, and the colours of their layers on a dark or light ground. Switch layers on and off, pan and zoom smoothly through large drawings, and click anything to see what it is and which layer it is on.

Paper layouts show as their sheets, each viewport clipped to its frame at its own scale with its own layers frozen. Measure distances, areas and angles, snapped to ends, middles, centres and intersections; find text; mark the drawing up with clouds, arrows, notes and freehand, kept as JSON for your page to save; and save the view as PNG, SVG or a vector PDF of the sheet.

Try it with your own files in confidence: they are opened by your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded, no copy reaches us or anyone else, and nothing is kept once you close this tab.

A flat, as the architect drew it

An invented flat, written out as a DXF by this page: walls and their hatching, doors and windows inserted as blocks, furniture, floor patterns, room names, dimensions and a grid on a dashed linetype. Click anything to see what it is, measure a room, switch layers off - A-AREA starts off, as the drawing saved it - or open a DXF of your own.

Keyboard: with the drawing focused, the arrow keys pan (or move the cross when measuring), + and - zoom, 0 fits the whole drawing, Enter places a point, and Escape finishes.

A review on the sheet

The same drawing's A3 sheet - the plan at 1:50 and the kitchen at 1:20 - with a client's comments marked on it in clouds, arrows and notes. Add your own; they are kept as JSON for your page to save, and go into the PDF with the drawing.
