The resource keys behind every colour, brush and template the ribbon draws with, for restyling any part of it with values of your own.

Remarks

The ribbon's templates look up their brushes with DynamicResource and these keys, so a value given to a key replaces that part of the look everywhere at once, even while the application runs. Each built-in skin (BinaryRibbonBuiltInSkinController.Skin) is a dictionary of values for these keys.

Giving a key a value

Put the value in Resources under the key, in XAML with {x:Static} or in code. A value placed there directly wins over the skin in force, because a skin is a merged dictionary and WPF looks in a dictionary's own entries first; a value in a window's or panel's resources applies to the ribbon inside it alone. Unless a key says otherwise its value is a Brush.

Using the ribbon's colours

The keys work the other way too: give content of your own – a drop-down panel, a status bar – the ribbon's colours with a DynamicResource reference to a key, and it follows every change of skin.
