PDF tools

The PDF organiser shows every page of one or more PDF files as a thumbnail, drawn by the library's own PDF engine, and puts them together into a new file. Drag pages into order or move them with the keyboard; turn, duplicate and delete them; add blank pages or the pages of another file, after the page you choose; and extract the pages you need as a file of their own. Links, bookmarks and form fields go with their pages.

Number the pages, add headers, footers, text and picture stamps and watermarks, set the title and author, and edit the bookmarks. Then save one file - made smaller if you like - or split it by page ranges, every n pages, at its bookmarks or by size. A saved file can be given a password that opens it (AES-256), with printing, copying, changes and the turning or removing of pages allowed or not. It is for applications where people put packs, bundles and reports together from the PDF files they already have.

Try it with your own PDF files in confidence: they are opened by your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded, no copy reaches us or anyone else, and nothing is kept once you close this tab.

A tenancy pack from three documents

Kestle & Bray Lettings, a made-up letting agency in Harrogate, puts together the pack for a new tenancy at an invented address. The check-in inventory came off the office scanner with one sheet fed in sideways and the blank back of another; the signed agreement was dropped in after it; the gas safety record is still to add. All three files, and everyone in them, are invented and written by this page. Put the pack in order, number it, mark it as a copy and save it.

Put the agreement first Add the gas safety record Turn the scanned page Delete the blank page Add the logo and page numbers Stamp it as a copy Save the pack
Keyboard: in the pages, the arrow keys move between pages and Shift with an arrow selects more; Alt with an arrow moves the selected pages; R and Shift+R turn them, Delete removes them and Ctrl+D duplicates them; Ctrl+Z undoes, and Enter shows the page as it will be saved, stamps and all.

A long report, split and sent with a password

The 2026 stock condition survey of Nidd Vale Homes, a made-up housing association: fourteen pages in five chapters, each a top-level bookmark, with every figure invented. Split it into one file per chapter for the people who need only theirs, or into files of four pages; give it a proper title and author; then give the whole report a password for the board, with copying and changes not allowed.

Split at the chapters Split every 4 pages Set the title and author Add a password Save the report
Keyboard: the settings button in the toolbar opens the panel; in its tabs, Left and Right move between Stamps, Document, Bookmarks, Protect and Split. In the pages, Ctrl+A selects them all and Escape clears the selection.
